Timor-Leste 2024 - Trip B / Day 4

Unfortunately, during the night a couple of us (looking at you James) got sick, so we decided to delay our journey to the mountains for a couple of hours while they recovered. Instead, we took another trip into Dili to see the Monument to the Santa Cruz Massacre, yet another remainder of Timor-Leste’s dark past.

Today started with a beautiful breakfast and coffee. Owen was also looking very furak kappas today. After breakfast we headed to the resistance museum, it was a sobering experience that reminds that there is more beyond the surface of what we are shown as they have a quiet troubling history and have experienced great hardship.
