Country Cup Cricket Achievement

07.02.18

In January, four Tenison Woods College students travelled to the Barossa Valley to compete for the South East region in the Under 14 Country Cup for cricket. The boys involved were Harry Fisher, Mitchell Sims, Noah Sims and Liam Turley. The team won three of their four games and were unlucky not to make the play-off for first & second, missing out by only a couple of percentage points. The team finished a credible third in the carnival which was a great experience shared by the boys and their team mates. All four boys made healthy contributions with the bat and ball and are to be commended for their sportsmanship across the four days. A notable achievement was Liam Turley who finished runner up in the bowling with 12 wickets including five wickets in one innings.
