New flags presented to College

12.04.17

Senator for South Australia, Don Farrell, visited the College on Wednesday 12 April to present the school with three new flags.

The Australian, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags were presented to College Captains, Jordan Gould and Lauren Holmes and were then raised at the front of the school by Year 4 students, Harriet Clark, Lily Cain, William Newell and Archie Thomas.

The students met with Hon Don Farrell and discussed protocols around the use of flags and the importance of maintaining and respecting the flags. SHINE fm student Crystal Ba Tu interviewed the Senator as a special feature of the SHINE Extra program. Click here to listen to the interview.

It was a glorious day to raise the brand new flags, which are hanging proudly at the entrance of the College.
