e-Smart Committee: Expressions of Interest

15.03.17

We are currently seeking expressions of interest to be part of an e-Smart committee. The e-smart school framework was developed by the Alannah and Madeline Foundation. It is a holistic approach to changing the behaviour of information and communications technology users. It connects cybersaftey with overall wellbeing and focuses on creating cultures of respect and personal responsibility in addition to providing users with the practical knowledge to ensure their security.

eSmart embraces the positive use of all form of digital technologies. It calls on school to foster safe, caring, respectful, supportive and inclusive communities, in which bullying and all forms of aggressive and negative behaviours are unacceptable. In eSmart schools, relationships are strong, respectful and supportive and learning outcomes are enhanced. The role of the committee is to work through the framework and guide the implementation of systems, structures and planning to ensure the school reaches and maintains eSmart status.

If you are interested in being a part of this committee please contact Jennie Sanderson at sandj@tenison.catholic.edu.au.
