The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden (SAKG) Program is available to Reception – Year 7 classes. Students have access to a variety of garden areas throughout the school and regularly engage in environmentally focused activities including recycling, weed identification and management of outdoor areas. There are pots and garden beds in the art room courtyard with a range of fragrant sensory plants, providing reflective space and an ongoing supply of fresh produce to use in kitchen garden lessons.
The program provides students with the opportunity to cook with fresh, seasonal produce they have grown themselves.
For further information about the program, contact Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program Coordinator Jen McCourt.
