SAPSASA Football

04.06.25

Despite relentless wind and driving rain, teams from across SA showed incredible resilience as the SAPSASA Boys Metro and Country Football Carnival got underway on Monday 26th June (week 5) at Barratt Reserve, West Beach.
Players battled heavy downpours, swirling gusts and slippery conditions, displaying great determination, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the three day carnival. These conditions suited our team well.
The team was well represented by Tenison Woods College students:
-    Will Gannon
-    Zach Howard (Captain)
-    Ned Kamphuis
-    David Kulimushi
-    Brock Lewis (Vice-Captain)
-    Mitch Lewis (Vice-Captain)
-    Lenni O’Dine
-    Ryder Sealey
-    Harry Sneath
All boys performed exceptionally well over the three days and managed to win 7 out of 9 matches and finished the carnival as tied equal winners. The last time a Lower South East team won any division was back in 2011 (div. 2) and 1982 (div 1).
Well done to the boys on this amazing achievement, and a further mention for Brock Lewis who won the “Tough as Nails” award for the Lower South East team.
