On Tuesday morning the Barrie Holmes Stadium was buzzing with excitement as the amazing JAM Band took to the stage for a concert that no one will forget! There was music, laughter, wild costumes, and some sparkling lights to entertain our Junior School and Poplars students!
At first, some students were feeling a bit nervous—some even worried about getting up in front of such a big crowd. But once the music started, everything changed. The sound was LOUD, but in the best way! The energy from the everyone helped calm nerves and made performing really fun.
The concert featured an awesome mix of songs, including the hilarious “Lava Chicken,” a sparkling version of “Sky Full of Stars” (with the lights turned off and LED lights flashing everywhere), a fun group singalong of “The Lion Sleeps Tonight,” and even a special Minecraft music mix that had everyone bouncing along and getting in on the action of the performers.
One of the highlights of the concert was seeing Ms K and Ms Gill dressed up as giant frogs! They ran around the room like crazy, making everyone laugh and join in the fun. Their silly energy really brought the performance to life and made it even more memorable. What really stood out was how everyone worked together. The music, the costumes, the dancing, and even the audience clapping and cheering—it all came together to create something really special.
Ava: “It was a good concert that let go crazy and have fun. You could dance around with your friends and didn’t have to do specific dance moves.”
Will: “I have really enjoyed having the JAM Band come over the years, and I’m really sad that this was my last time seeing them as I move into Year 7.”
It was an unforgettable morning full of fun, friendship, and fantastic music. We’re already looking forward to the next JAM Band concert!
