Occupational Therapy Students Visit Poplars Inclusive Education Program

29.05.25

Recently the Poplars Inclusive Education team had the pleasure of welcoming Occupational Therapy students from the University of Adelaide to as part of their Rural Health Road Trip.
During their visit, the students spent time with staff, and learnt about the vital role Occupational Therapists play in supporting students within an educational setting.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity to highlight the strong partnerships we have with external service providers and how these collaborations enhance the learning and wellbeing of our students. Through co-designed approaches, our team works alongside Occupational Therapists to create inclusive, accessible, and supportive environments that empower every learner to thrive.

It was a privilege to share our practices with the next generation of Allied Health professionals, and we hope the experience offered meaningful insights into the possibilities of working in education based therapy roles within rural communities.
