Author Dr Helen Edwards Visit

29.05.25

Our Year 6 classes were treated to an inspiring visit by South Australian author, Dr Helen Edwards last week. She described her journey from a 6-year-old winning her first writing competition to being a published author of three books, with two more on their way. Helen shared her love of history, of nature and how she gets her ideas. The students were particularly keen to see some of the objects that inspire her writing, including a very old camera and a telescope. We were also very fortunate to be donated three of her books for the Library by the Children’s Book Council of Australia who are celebrating their 80th year.
