On Thursday 22 May, the Year 9 Agriculture class were fortunate to travel to the United Dairy Company processing plant. Students were availed of all aspects of dairy from production to final processing including flavoured milk, milk powder, baby formula, ghee, whey and cream. Another aspect of the visit was the potential career opportunities at UDC from fork lift drivers, lab technicians through to electricians & plumbers. This is valuable learning for the Year 9 students who will participate in work experience next year, giving them insight to various career pathways they can explore. The staff at UDC were keen to share their experience with our students for which we are very grateful.
