Grip Leadership Conference

09.04.25

On Thursday 4 April, the Year 9 leaders, as well as class representatives from Year 7 and 8 travelled to Uni SA for the GRIP Student Leadership Conference. Students engaged with many schools across the Limestone Coast and South Western Victoria learning about themes such as responsibilities of a student leader, creating school events everyone can connect to, being a leader who supports others and tackling something at our school that feels impossible. Students had the choice of selected short seminars in topics of interest or need and were able to provide valuable insights to areas of improvement in our school. Next week the leaders will be meeting to discuss our next step of growth. Student leaders from Years 3, 4, 5, and 6 also attended the GRIP Leadership Conference at the Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre. The day was full of fun activities and inspiring sessions, where students learned new leadership skills and how to be positive role models in our school. We look forward to evolving some of these ideas back at Tenison Woods College.
