Our Year 12 students embarked on their annual Retreat to Kangaroobie in Princetown, Victoria on Wednesday of week 1.
Day 1 consisted of sightseeing on their way to camp, reflecting, meditation, rock painting, a session from Fr Olek on the importance of prayer and relationships, making a cohort mandala and much more.
Day 2 of the retreat saw students focus on the now and the future on 'The Road of Life,' through exploring deepening connections and community.
Father Olek celebrated morning Mass with us and later led students to unpack the school theme for the year ahead by exploring hope as a virtue.
Staff leading the retreat shared their personal experiences of community to support the Year 12 students to reflect on uniting as a cohort this year.
Team-building activities followed later in the afternoon, and the evening included receiving special messages from loved ones and sharing affirmations with each other, strengthening their bonds.
After a long trip home Friday and much needed rest over the weekend, we hope that the Year 12's feel ready to tackle the year ahead employing their new learnings and mindsets from retreat.
