Harmony Day

02.04.24

On Thursday, our wonderful Student Leaders assisted in handing out stickers and ribbons in celebration of Harmony Day with students making pledges to include others, to treat everyone with respect, to make sure everyone feels like they belong and to celebrate and enjoy other cultures. Our Reception Students were delighted to see their Year 12 Buddies who joined them for some Harmony Day craft activities, and our Early Learning and Community Centre Children were joined by our Year 11 Students who celebrated Harmony Day with some play time! Lunchtime witnessed our students coming together to engage in various activities to celebrate inclusivity, and respect for all cultures, backgrounds, and traditions. From a Soccer match, to bake sales, bubble tea, inclusive art work, face painting, scavenger hunt and dance - Harmony Day provided a space for our students and staff to learn, appreciate, and celebrate diversity.

Tenison Woods College respectfully acknowledges the Boandik people are the First Nations people of the Mount Gambier South Eastern region of South Australia and pay respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, past, present and emerging.
