2024 School Captain - Teangi Stephens

28.02.24

I am heading into my 8th year at Tenison Woods College and ever since the  beginning it has been my home away from home. I have received love, welcomeness and a plethora of skills from the college and as 2024 College Captain, alongside Bree, I want to return this to the school community.

Confidence, Patience and Selflessness are three core skills that I possess and I strive to do my best to apply these into my community. My goal everyday is to lift and include others and ensure that everyone surrounding me is safe and comfortable and these skills help this immensely. Whether it is coaching my junior basketball team, working at Red Rooster or being part of my football and basketball teams, I always try my best to do my best for others.

This year I am thrilled to work alongside our whole school leadership team, that not only includes the year 6, 9 and 12 leaders but also the teachers and supporting families, to build upon our already strong and welcoming community. In 2024, everyone in our school community will be welcomed with Open Hearts and Open Arms.

Tenison Woods College respectfully acknowledges the Boandik people are the First Nations people of the Mount Gambier South Eastern region of South Australia and pay respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, past, present and emerging.
