11 students have been selected to participate in Hockey South Australia’s leading Development & High-Performance Program, The Fire Academy, as well as 3 students being selected into State Teams.

Congratulations to the following students who were selected into the Fire Academy: Sophie Waters, Tillie Derrington, Zoe James, Madi Derrington, Heidi Collins, Mercedes Theobald, Sarrah Ryan, Rhys Earle, Owain Earle, James Miller, (Absent: Lauren Smith)

The Fire Academy is Hockey South Australia’s leading Development & High-Performance Program. Approximately 250-300 athletes will gain selection into the Academy in 2021 over three age groups, across both Metropolitan and Regional areas.

Congratulations also to students Mercedes Theobald, Rhys Earle and Zoe James, as they have been selected for the Under 18 Girls State team, Under 15 Boys State team and Under 15 Girls State team respectively. Rhys and Zoe will travel to Bathurst in April, while Mercedes will travel to Launceston in April as well to compete with their teams. Well done to all students.
