Subject Description

Students will cook a variety of different recipes from the world of baking, as well as meals that are authentic to Australian farming heritage. Different cooking methods will be learnt and tested throughout the semester.

Students will examine the sustainability on farms and get the chance to research and create their own theoretical farm, understanding how food products get from the farm to our plates. They will analyse baking agents, and which ingredients are used to make delicious desserts rise and look scrumptious. Students will research what nutrients make up healthy muffins and will investigate and then create their own muffin.
