Whole School Mass
Firstly, what a beautiful mass we celebrated on Tuesday 15 August to acknowledge the Feast of the Assumption, commemorating the significance of Mary in the Catholic Church - and wasn't it a wonderful celebration of our community gathered around the Christian message of hope and anticipation of more beyond this life.

Winter walk for Homelessness
I was delighted to join an enthusiastic group of staff and students whose eagerness was not dented by the showers. I thank Mia Varcoe for her leadership in marshalling the eager walkers and for drawing attention to the complexity and needs of those who are homeless in our community.

Pathways Expo
Thank you to students, staff and parents who played their part to make a wonderful experience of information, inspiration and inquiry at last week's 2018 Pathways Expo. I trust the insights gained will lay the foundation for decisions to be made during the critical process of subject selection and pathway discernment.

Book week
We look forward to next week's Book Week, with the theme of ‘Escape to Everywhere’. Book Week is a wonderful opportunity to not only celebrate the critical importance of reading in our society, but also the joy that emanates from a life imbued by literature. I look forward to the Book Week parade and creativity displayed with the theme.
