Languages Week celebrated at Tenison Woods College

10.04.19

Week 10 was a highlight for the Languages team as we celebrated our community’s languages and cultures. A multitude of activities showcased the talents that we have within the College and encouraged everyone to have a go at learning a language and/or getting to know a culture.

The Year 12 students created a terrific ‘Kahoot’, inviting students to test their cultural knowledge. We welcome you to try as well, just follow this link.

Other activities included bruschetta making and eating, Bocce, Japanese dancing, a beautiful presentation by Milena Calista; giving us insights about moving to a new school and learning a new language.  Mrs Hopgood demonstrated Auslan for Junior School and Mr Sun conducted Chinese games and calligraphy demonstrations.

If you would like your language and culture showcased in our 2020 Tenison Woods College Languages Week, please do not hesitate to email Suzanne Pepe.

I would like to sincerely thank the Languages team and the volunteers who prepared, organised and facilitated each lunchtime event.
