On Tuesday 26 February, the Tenison Woods College Open Girls Cricket team, took on Penola in round two of the Open Girls cricket.
After losing the toss, Tenison was sent into the field. Tenison put on an impressive display with the ball, taking 5 wickets, including 2 catches, restricting Penola to just 43 runs off their 20 overs. Going into bat, the openers got off the mark very quickly, scoring 8 runs off the first over. After losing 2 quick wickets, Tenison rallied around Tess Kenseley (21) and Mercedes Theobald (19), easily chasing down the total.
This win will take the girls to the finals which will be held in Adelaide on Monday March 25.
