Students and Families get into the spirit at the Reception - Year 2 Sports Day

13.03.19

The Reception - Year 2 Sports Day was held on Friday 8 March. The day started with a march in house teams across the oval and into the gym where the Junior house leaders led the Junior school in a health hustle. Students then moved out onto the oval and played a number of circuit games leading up till recess.

After recess there were three events: the 60m sprint, baton relay and an obstacle course.  House leaders finished the sports day with a chant they had created for their team. The day wrapped up at 12.00pm followed by a family BBQ.

Thanks to all parents and other family members who came out to support the Receptions - Year 2 students on the day.

The high number of family members in attendance really helped create a great atmosphere.

The younger students loved having family members there watching and supporting them.  It was a really great and fun day for all.

A special thanks goes to both the Junior and Senior house leaders who did a great deal of work setting up, helping with Reception – Year 2 game activities, cooking the BBQ and packing up.

Looking forward to our next big sports day, for Years 3-7 on Friday 5 April, which will be held at Marist Park.
