Year 10 T20 boys Cricket match in Keith

06.03.19

Earlier this week, our Year 10 boys Cricket team travelled to Keith to play Heathfield High School in Round 2 of the SSSA T20 Boys Cricket competition.

Batting first on a very slow wicket, the boys steadily made their way through the first 5 overs. As predicted, the run rate was slow but the team got steady contributions from Liam Turley and Hamish Case. Batting out the overs, our boys finished 9/61.

Two early wickets and some sharp fielding had Heathfield off to a shaky start. However, some short-pitch bowling through the middle overs tipped the balance of power in Heathfield’s favour. Some outstanding bowling by Liam Turley followed. Liam finished the match with 2 for 4 off 4 overs. This effort had both teams back fighting for the victory, but some late hitting guided Heathfield to the win with 11 balls to spare and 6 wickets in hand.

Well done to all the boys who represented the College throughout the competition.
