Year 8/9 Boys Cricket Team move onto the next stage of Competition

06.02.19

In our first sporting event of the year the first round of the 8/9 boys cricket was held at Marist Park on February 4, against Millicent High School. After winning the toss, College team captain Noah Sims elected to bat. After losing an early wicket, Harry Fisher and Hamish Case steadied the ship before Case fell for 14. Joined at the crease by Noah Sims the pair managed to put on a partnership of 62 with Sims falling for 29 and Fisher following short after for a well compiled 41. The innings was wrapped up well by Jordan Stephens who used some big hitting to make 27, allowing Tenison to complete the innings on a credible target of 154.

Liam Turley and Jack Domaschenz then opened the bowling and both claimed early scalps. From here on, Millicent lost consistent wickets and managed to finish on 81, giving Tenison a 73 run victory!

Fisher and Sims both claimed two wickets with Case and Jack Lawrence also bowling well. The boys will now move onto the next stage of competition.
