Tip of the Week From the Deputy Principal

13.02.19

This week, the Tip of the Week will focus on student timetables .

Each term at Tenison Woods College all students in Years 8 to 12 receive an updated hardcopy of their term timetable reflecting new rotational or semester electives and subjects. The timetables contain information of the daily lessons for the week, subject teachers for each subject and room allocations.

TERM 2 TIMETABLES

Students in Years 8 to 12 are able to access an electronic copy of their timetable to view in Simon and parents are also able to view their childrens’ timetables through PAM.

To access your child’s timetable, log into PAM, select your child and then select the ‘Student timetable’ tab. Opening the tab will provide information regarding your child’s weekly timetable for Term 2, including their teacher for each subject and lesson times.

ACCESSING PAM

Every family has access to a PAM account which can be opened from the Tenison Woods College Website or by just entering pam.tenison.catholic.edu.au into any web browser. Alternatively, it can be opened in the Skoolbag app.

TIMETABLE CHANGES

At Tenison Woods College, we understand there are at times personal and academic reasons for students to reassess their subject selections. At the beginning of each term and semester students have a three week window to discuss their timetables with either Ms Liza Couzens - Deputy Principal (Students in Years 8 and 9) or Mr Sean Quirke – Head of Senior School (Students in Years 10, 11 and 12) and to make adjustments to new electives or semester based subjects beginning at the start of each semester or term. Students who wish to discuss adjustments to their timetable are to make an appointment with the above staff or visit the relevant administration area during recess or lunch time. If students require subject changes, the process for subject changes is outline below:

• The Student collects a “Subject Change form” from the Front Office or the PRC Office and has this signed by the relevant Staff and Parents.

• The student then meets with the Head of Senior School or Deputy Principal to discuss the subject change.

• Once the subject change is made, the student changes class.
