Bring Your Own Device information for Parents

24.10.18

From 2019, a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) laptop will become a requirement for students in Years 8-12. This enables students to use their own laptop within the class setting.

To assist parents, caregivers and students, the Portal@TWC website contains BYOD program help and device guidelines. To access the site:

  • Open the Portal@TWC site, or Google ‘Portal@TWC’)
  • Select the ‘BYOD Information’ tab at the top to view list of steps, including the full information flyer, device minimum requirements and recommendation checklist, a purchase portal and how to setup a new device for use at Tenison Woods College.

NBN internet connectivity is well worth considering if available in your area, as the rollout has provided even greater connectivity to school ICT services such as Citrix Xendesktop and Office365.

If you have any questions about BYOD or the school’s ICT services, please contact the ICT department via the ‘Contact ICT’ tab on the Portal@TWC website.
