Shining in the Classroom

11.09.18

One of the learning tasks for the Year 11 Italian students during semester 1 was to create a storybook for children. Most of the students chose to create stories about animals. During term 3, all of the Year 11 Italian students have been coming down to the Junior School to share their stories with a class of Year 2 students.

Christian chose to create an interactive storybook about Australian animals. His story included animals such as the Kangaroo, Emu and Koala, the story asked students to do some of the things that these animals are well known for such as hopping like a kangaroo, hissing like a snake and running like an emu.

The Year 2 students have so far enjoyed having the opportunity to meet, talk to and listen to the stories created by our Year 11 Italian students.
