Year 3 Students Packed With Creativity

04.07.18

This Term in History the Year 3 classes have been exploring the early pioneers of Mount Gambier, who had a significant impact upon the settlement and building of our local community.  Students decorated a shoe box to resemble an old suitcase and added six handmade symbols to put in the suitcase. The symbols represented each pioneer’s contribution and life in Mount Gambier.

Some of the pioneers that Mrs Boksem’s class explored were John Ellis, William Crouch, John Frew, Helen Mitchell, Adam Lindsay Gordon, Evelyn Sturt and John Wehl.
