Entrepreneurs Inspire Year 10 Students

04.07.18

On Friday 29 June, Year 10 students were treated to a one-hour panel discussion with local business owners.  Focusing on the theme of ‘entrepreneurialism’, students had the opportunity to hear from Ben Hood of Hello Friday, Ashlee Kalantarian from Ashlee Lauren Designs, Ian Weber from Green Triangle Recyclers and Toni Vorenas from Metro Bakery.  Panel members spoke about how they got started, what had inspired them to create their business, and what skills and attributes had contributed to their success. They were asked to share what a typical day was like, their challenges and what advice they had for our students on the eve of their work placement week.

This was a highly informative, interesting and interactive event and a unique opportunity for students to hear from four very different – yet equally inspiring – local entrepreneurs. We thank Ben, Ashlee, Ian and Toni for taking time out of their busy schedules to share their insights.
