Changing Tunes 2018

27.06.18

The 2018 Changing Tunes concert was a fantastic event that celebrated the learning of our Year 3-5 students. The sold out show also showcased the Year 5 students, displaying their learning on trumpets, trombones, flutes and clarinets. All students should be proud of their first concert on their instruments. The Year 4 students were amazing on their recorders. In the lead up to the concert, they worked together to write an original recorder song that they performed with a backing band. The Year 3 students performed on various percussion instruments then brought some of the audience to tears for the finale as they combined with a rock band and the Year 8-12 Concert Choir for the song ‘Unwritten’.

The audience was also entertained by many guest artists from the College – Year 5 singer Amaya de Silva, Junior Choir, Primary Choir, Year 6/7 Band, Woodwind Ensemble, Saxophone Quartet, Thunder Drum Corps and the Senior Vocal Ensemble. With the two Year 12 Music Leaders, Baie Perryman and Georgia Mustey as comperes and The Friends of Music parent group helping backstage, it truly was a celebration of the Tenison Woods College community working together.

Congratulations to all students, staff, parents and community members who supported our students to ‘Let their Light Shine’.
