Junior School Sports Update

09.05.18

AUSKICK

A reminder that the Tenison Woods College Auskick program starts in Term 2 for any interested Reception to Year 2 students. Sessions are on Tuesday afternoons from 3:30pm to 4:20pm, however the first session set for week 3 will be on a Wednesday due to parent teacher interviews. This will now make the start date Wednesday 16 May. There will be 6 sessions with the last being on Tuesday 19 June. Parents must register their child online. Visit www.aflauskick.com.au and follow the links to register at Tenison Woods College. The cost is $70, unless you choose to use the Junior Sport Voucher, making the cost only $20. More details about the Junior Sport Voucher below. Children doing Auskick for the first time will receive entry to the sessions, insurance and students shall receive an Auskick backpack with lots of football gifts inside. For returning Auskick students, there is no pack - however the AFL will be providing an AFL guernsey! Once registered, the AFL will send an email asking what AFL top your child would like. Sessions this year will be run by the Tenison Woods College PE team.

The Junior Sport Voucher scheme is a government funded initiative to reduce the cost of sport for junior students in Reception to Year 7. Please be aware that you can only use the voucher once per child, per year. If the choice is made to use the voucher for Auskick, it cannot be used again for any other sporting fees at school or club level. If you choose to use the Junior Sport Voucher, it is a very simple process of ticking a box during registration and providing your Medicare number. Payment can be made online when registering. For any families that do not have internet access, please come into the College and speak to staff at the Front Office.
