Tunes for Timor

The ‘Tunes for Timor’ fundraiser took place on Sunday 29 April. The event was a great success! The fundraiser was held at Katnook Estate in the Coonawarra, raising money for the communities in Timor Leste who will be visited by the Tenison Woods College Immersion Group later this term. Those who attended were entertained by talented students Taylor Pearson, Emily Turley and Ellyana Sims as well as Penola teacher Nicole Lear. Wines were generously supplied by Katnook Estate. We thank the singers as well as the staff and management of Katnook for their generosity.

Students will continue to raise money throughout this term as they look forward to distributing the funds to the Timor Leste communities in need, which they will visit in July.

Mothers’ Day Events

In addition to the ‘Reach Out and Relax’ social evening this Thursday 3 May, all Mothers, Grandmothers and Special Friends are invited to the Mothers’ Day Liturgy and Morning Tea on Friday 11 May at 9:00am. The liturgy will be held in the Chapel and the morning tea will follow.

Sacrament Family Session

On Thursday 10 May all students who are enrolled in the Sacramental program are required to attend the 5th of the family preparation sessions. All students are to attend with at least one parent or carer. Sessions are held in the Tenison Woods College staffroom at either 4.30pm or 7:00pm.

Regional Youth Mass

To celebrate the ‘Year of Youth’, there will be a Regional Youth Mass in Penola on Sunday 27 May at 5:00pm followed by a shared meal. We would love as many of our Tenison Woods College families to attend as possible so please mark this in your diary.

If anyone is interested in a bus or shared transport from Naracoorte, Mount Gambier or Millicent please add your name to the list by emailing Sandra Quirke.
