Generations in Jazz Weekend

02.05.18

The Tenison Woods College Music Department has been busily preparing for the upcoming Generations in Jazz Festival. Students in the Big Band, Concert Choir and Senior Vocal Ensemble are looking forward to their performances this weekend. This is the largest student music festival in the Southern Hemisphere and we are very fortunate that it is based in Mount Gambier. With 5000 students expected to perform over the weekend, I am sure families will notice the multitude of buses, students and families around Mount Gambier and the region.

The festival is a fantastic celebration of youthful enthusiasm for music as well as offering international standard performances. I encourage families to attend if possible. If you are free to support our students, performance times are listed below. All performances for Tenison Woods College are on the Saturday and students will also be participating in a workshop on Sunday.

  • Big Band - AA Scott Pavilion 11:00am
  • Senior Vocal Ensemble (Allert Pavilion) 2:10pm
  • Concert Choir (Evans Pavilion) 4:50pm
