Relay for Life

28.03.18

On Saturday 24 March, 35 Tenison Woods College Year 12 students joined together to participate in the Mount Gambier Relay for Life, to raise funds for the Cancer Council.

The event was held at Blue Lake Sports Park and began at 2.00pm on the Saturday and continued all the way through to 9.00am on Sunday. Students kept awake by playing games and listening to music. Staff were invited to attend a dinner on the Saturday night, where students cooked burritos. Donations for the meal went towards the overall money raised by the students. In total, the group raised $2,025.

Donations are still being accepted and can be made to the Tenison Woods College team here.

The Relay for Life was enjoyed by all participants, despite the rain at 4.00am in the morning and the lack of sleep! Thank you to everyone who donated to the Cancer Council.
