Timor Leste Immersion

20.07.17

Timor, Timor- land of endless beauty and grace,

At every turn there is a smile upon your face.

From the heights of the mountains to the blue of the sea,

Your gifts of untouched beauty has truly astounded me.

Timor, Timor- land of faith and hope,

God is at the heart guiding people how to cope.

With God’s strength inspiring each to see the light,

It is people like Eddie showing us what is right.

Timor, Timor- land so close and dear,

Our worlds are poles apart yet in the globe so near.

Being here has made us grateful of the little things,

Not of possessions, but of the virtues each heart brings.

Timor, Timor- land of hunger and thirst,

Limited access to medical care is indeed the worst.

Babies and children going to bed with nothing to eat,

Poverty and lack of education we must work to defeat.

Timor, Timor- land of people in need,

Our eyes have been opened to answer your plead.

Through our actions we are committed to make a change,

To assist in any ways that we can possibly arrange.

Timor, Timor- land of welcome and warmth,

Your smiles, waves and greetings are helping us go forth.

It is now our turn to help our loving friends next door,

Fundraising and helping out to raise now even more.

Timor, Timor- land we will never forget,

Your kindness, generosity and spirit, in our heart is forever set.

Our lives have been enriched, now we will answer your call,

Living out our lives to make a positive difference to all.
