Crystal Ba Tu and Ella McShane excel in Chinese Language Awards

Tenison Woods College Students Crystal Ba Tu and Ella McShane both attended the 2017 South Australian Chinese Language Awards in Adelaide.

Year 9 Student Crystal Ba Tu received the award for Best Chinese Language Student in Secondary School, and year 6 Student Ella McShane received the Best Chinese Language Student in Primary School.

Tenison Woods College Chinese Language Teacher Mr Bo Wei Xu taught the girls two songs to prepare for and perform at this Awards Ceremony.

Teacher Mr Xu adds:

“The Girls put a lot of effort into learning these songs. This is a very hard skill, to sing in another language. And they did an excellent job. I am very proud of them, and their parents are very supportive”.

Congratulations on these wonderful achievements Crystal and Ella.

Crystal Ba Tu also attended another awards ceremony while in Adelaide, the Australian Music Examination Board (AMEB) Best in the State for Voice and Communication Award, recognizing outstanding work in AMEB Examinations.
