Giving Tree and Community Christmas Lunch
As we approach the season of Advent, we turn our focus to the ways in which we can share the love and joy of Christmas with others in our community. Many classes will be cooking and making decorations for the Community Christmas Lunch to be held at the Mount Gambier City Hall on Christmas Day. If you are able to donate cooking items such as condensed milk, coconut, icing sugar, castor sugar, dried fruit (sultanas and apricots) or cocoa, your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The Giving Tree will also be placed in the front office at the beginning of next week. Gifts and money collected under the tree will be shared between 3 local agencies: AC.Care, The Salvation Army and St Vincent DePaul. We strongly encourage families to have a discussion about what your family can do to share the love of Christmas with others. Students will also be discussing this in class across the entire College.

End of Year Mass
The End of Year Mass is a wonderful opportunity to gather as a College community one last time this year and give thanks for the friends we have made and the opportunities we have had during 2017. Families are invited to attend this mass in the Barrie Holmes Stadium at 11am on Thursday 30 November.

Faith in Action Awards Year 6 to 9
The Faith in Action Awards are presented to a student from each grade of the Middle School who has contributed to the betterment of the College or wider community. The nominations for these awards come from parishioners, parents, members of the community, staff and students. If you know a student who you would like to nominate, please pick up a nomination form from the TWC Front Office, the Parish office or email Michelle Coote - cootm@tenison.catholic.edu.au. Nominations close Monday 20 November.

ACYF Morning Tea in Millicent
Last Sunday a group of students, parents and staff attended mass in Millicent, followed by a morning tea. The morning tea was hosted by the Millicent parishioners and was held to fundraise for the group attending the Australian Catholic Youth Festival in Sydney in December. We would sincerely like to thank the parishioners in Millicent for their welcome and their financial support – raising a wonderful $285.
