Volunteers are a valuable part of our Tenison Woods College community. There are many ways that you can volunteer around the school. For example: canteen, Learning Assistance Program (LAP), Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden (SAGK), excursions, class representatives, in the library, at working bees, coaching sport and fundraisers.

If you would like to become a volunteer, please collect a pack from the front office staff.

In case of an emergency it is important we know who is on the school site,Therefore, ALL volunteers are required to sign in.

Listening to Reading
If you are helping in a Reception to Year 5 classroom and only onsite until 9.30am you will find a sign in/out sheet in each classroom, please sign in and out on this sheet.

Canteen
The canteen will have sign/out sheets for volunteers to sign.

All other volunteers will need to sign in at the either the Front Office or PRC Office.

Evacuations
A Work Health and Safety requirement is that emergency evacuations are conducted each term.

During Terms 1 and 3, a planned fire drill will take place.

In Terms 2 and 4, a planned lockdown will take place; these will be conducted at random times which may occur during recess or lunch.

Please discuss this with your child to make them aware that these are practiced to keep them safe at all times.

If you are on site when an evacuation occurs, please follow instruction of Tenison Woods College staff. Throughout the school there are evacuation procedure posters explaining the process during a drill. Please make yourself familiar with the procedures.
