Ash Wednesday
Students and staff entered the Season of Lent with liturgies to mark Ash Wednesday. The focus of the liturgies was on the themes of prayer, fasting and giving which we continue throughout the 46 days of Lent. Traditionally people are marked with ash on their foreheads to show their willingness to repent and turn away from sin.

There is a great app to use during Lent which privides videos, reflections and prayers each day. http://www.xt3.com/lent/

Family Mass
This Sunday 5 March is a Family Mass. Please email Becky Higgins higgr@tenison.catholic.edu.au if your child would like to help out with singing or reading. We would love to see lots of our families in attendance at this mass.

Ritual of Belonging
This weekend children preparing for the Sacraments of Confirmation and First Eucharist will be celebrating the Ritual of Belonging at both masses: 6:00pm Saturday and 11:00am Sunday (Family Mass). All children who are part of the Sacramental Program are expected to attend.

Stations of the Cross
Each Friday during Lent Stations of the Cross will be held in St Paul’s Church at 6:00pm. Families or individuals are invited to attend any of these. On Friday 17 March Stations will be led by staff and students of the Middle and Senior schools and on Friday 7 April the Junior School will be taking the lead. Students who would like to be involved in either of these are asked to contact Michelle Coote cootm@tenison.catholic.edu.au.

Shrove Tuesday
Thanks to Mr Ciabattoni, Mrs McCourt, Mrs Sigley, Ms Lloyd, Mrs Quirke and all of the students who helped cook over 1000 pancakes on Shrove Tuesday. This was a wonderful way to start the Project Compassion fundraising which will continue during Lent. Keep an eye out for upcoming fundraisers.

Masses at the College
Mass is celebrated in the Tenison Woods College Chapel every Thursday at 9:15am during term time. All members of the community are invited to attend.
