Why being an Intrapreneur is Important

16.01.19

With the world changing at rapid pace, businesses will consistently seek out those who are problem-solvers, disruptors and system-challengers. Employers are consistently seeking potential employees with entrepreneurial skills – often referred to as Intrapreneurials. An intrapreneur is somebody who behaves like an entrepreneur, but instead of working for themselves, they are employed within a business or organisation.

Most businesses understand that intrapreneurs provide the imagination and drive that gives them the competitive edge. Smart businesses create the structure that allows employees to unlock their creativity, share their ideas and become valued stakeholders in the process.  They encourage and nurture innovation, and foster the talent and enthusiasm of their employees - those intrapreneurs within their ranks.

Again, Year 10s will learn more about entrepreneurial skills during their PLP program and the importance of these skills (and mindset) for future career success. We will also have a panel of highly successful local entrepreneurs to encourage thinking and possibilities.
