Generations in Jazz 2017

03.05.17

Music students in Big Band, Concert Choir and Senior Vocal Ensemble are looking forward to the Generations in Jazz festival this weekend. This is the largest student music festival in the Southern Hemisphere and we are very fortunate that it is based in Mount Gambier. With 4,200 students expected to perform, I am sure families will notice the multitude of buses, students and families around Mount Gambier and the region this weekend.

The festival is a fantastic celebration of youthful enthusiasm for music as well as international standard performances. I encourage families to attend if possible. If you are free to support our students, the performance times on Saturday are:

  • Concert Choir (Evans Pavilion) 8:30am
  • Senior Vocal Ensemble (Evans Pavilion) 12:50pm
  • Big Band (Ed Wilson Pavilion) 2:40pm
