Parish Picnic
Thank you to everyone who attended the Parish Picnic on Sunday. It was wonderful to see so many families enjoying the Family Mass and the festivities afterwards.

Palm Sunday
This Sunday (April 9) is Palm Sunday, the final Sunday of Lent and the beginning of Holy Week. Palm Sunday commemorates the triumphant arrival of Christ in Jerusalem, days before he was crucified. There will be a Youth Mass at 5.00pm. Palm branches will be blessed outside the Church and we will process into the Church together.

Distributing Eggs
Please keep in mind as we approach the Easter season that we are in Lent or Holy Week until Easter Sunday. Themes during this time are PRAYER, FASTING AND GIVING. On Easter Sunday we move into the joyful season of Easter which is 40 days of CELEBRATING.

The giving of Easter Eggs is discouraged until Easter when we celebrate the Resurrection of Christ. When considered in light of the school year, this means we would encourage students who would like to give something to their friends at school, to do so after the Easter break rather than before.

Project Compassion Fundraising
As we approach Easter and Project Compassion comes to an end we thank ALL staff, students and families who have given generously to this appeal for Caritas. Project Compassion boxes can be returned to the College or the Church at any time. We ask that all boxes are returned by the end of Term 1 to allow the donations to be sent to Caritas.

Masses at the College
Mass is celebrated in the Tenison Woods College Chapel every Thursday at 9:15am during term time. All members of the community are invited to attend.

Week 10 –Thursday 6 April  – Year 9

Week 11 – Thursday 13 April – No Parish Mass at Tenison Woods College due to it being Holy Thursday. Mass of the Last Supper at St Paul’s Church at 7.00pm.
