Senior School Community 10 – 12

The Senior School is committed to helping students achieve their personal best.

Small class sizes and the Pathways Model of Learning offers students an individual approach to their learning, treating them as emerging adults and providing each student with career pathways. This includes:

• Subject and career counselling

• Accelerated learning in subjects where students have strengths or are ready to engage study a subject in the year level above their own;

• A broad range of Year 10 to 12 subjects which support students to achieve their future goals including university, TAFE, apprenticeship, employment or the defence force;

• Year 10 students now have access to new programs in Media Studies, Child Studies and Creative Arts – Musical.

Students are able to study full time or part time and to attend school or undertake studies externally. Many students undertake school-based apprenticeships and traineeships as part of their SACE.

Students are also encouraged to explore interests beyond the classroom. This is supported by an exciting range of co-curricular activities, which encourage personal growth, teamwork and cooperation.

Strong pastoral care, close liaison with parents, a commitment to Catholic values and social justice provides a support framework for students to achieve their personal best.

Our small class sizes ensure that every student gains the learning support required and our Catholic ethos reflects those gospel values essential to the moral and ethical development of our young people within a Christian framework.
