Junior School Community R - 5

Learning for Life

Our Junior School provides an engaging learning environment for students from Reception to Year 5, where every student is encouraged to ‘let their light shine’.

Located in its own section of campus, students also have access to many of the College’s facilities, including the library, canteen and Barrie Holmes Stadium.

Students benefit from a carefully structured yet innovative approach to education, which focuses on accelerating the physical, intellectual, spiritual, social and emotional development of each child.

We place a strong emphasis on quality teaching and learning in a safe supportive learning environment.

In addition to Reading, Writing, Maths, English and Science subjects each child learns Italian, Computing, Music and Drama. For those students with extra learning needs, the College offers an advanced Special Education program with access to customised learning support.

Backed by our Catholic identity, Tenison Woods College places a strong commitment to pastoral care where we focus on developing the whole person as well as academically extending all learners, and building relationships with our families and school community.
