Beginning of Year Mass

17.02.21

On Thursday morning 11 February, at the picturesque Marist Park, the Tenison Woods College community came together for the Beginning of Year Mass. This was a significant event for the College as it was the first time in 12 months we have been able to gather as a whole school community to celebrate the Eucharist. Continuing a cherished tradition, the Reception students were escorted into their very first Mass at the College by their Year 12 buddies. Symbolising the beginning and the end of the students’ educational journeys, each of them special and significant in their own individual way. Fr Dean challenged all members of the Mass to make the ordinary moments extraordinary, aligning with the College’s call to action this year. The newly elected Year 6, Year 9 and Year 12 leaders were also blessed and commissioned as they begin their leadership roles in the school community.
