Year 8/9 Knockout Cricket Team Claim Runners-Up

25.11.20

Our talented Year 8/9 Boy Cricketers have claimed second place in the Year 8/9 Boys Knockout Cricket Competition! The competition was held on Monday 23 November at the Bordertown Oval.

With the sun shining, captain Hamish Case won the toss and decided to bat. After a very competitive first innings, the students finished the 20 overs with 78 runs.

The boys started the second innings enthusiastically against a strong Southern Fleurieu. Unfortunately, Southern Fleurieu beat the boys by 6 wickets, claiming the title as State Final Champions. Congratulations to all students involved. A big thank you to Mr Maney for coaching and umpiring throughout the day and Michael Prior for taking students to and from the Bordertown Oval.

Well done boys on a terrific effort!
