Runner-Up State Champions for the 8-9 Boys Cricket Team

18.11.20

On Tuesday 17 November, our talented 8/9 Boy Cricketers headed to Bordertown to compete against Southern Fleurieu in the State Final of the 8/9 Boys Knockout Cricket Competition. With the sun shining, Captain Hamish Case won the toss and chose to bat. After a very competitive first innings, the students finished the 20 overs with 78 runs.

Going into the second innings, the boys were eager to get things started again. However, Southern Fleurieu kept their batting form, beating Tenison Woods College by 6 wickets and claiming the title as State Final Champions. Congratulations to all students involved. A big thank you to Mr. Maney for coaching and umpiring throughout the day and Michael Prior for taking students to and from the Bordertown Oval. Well done boys!
