Outdoor Ed Students Revel in Surf & Sun

18.11.20

Our Year 10 Stage 1 Outdoor Education students recently travelled to Robe for their final camp experience, where they participated in a 2-day canoe and 1-day surf experience. The camp marked the completion of their Outdoor Education studies for 2020.

Students loved canoeing and surfing in perfect weather conditions, whilst building stronger relationships with their peers. It has been fantastic to see the growth in students’ skills and knowledge of the outdoors from their first camp until now. The improvement in their understanding of fundamental aspects of camp craft and minimal-impact camping basics highlighted the amount of growth students have made across the year.

A big thanks to Charlie’s Surf School and Paestan's Canoe hire for allowing the camp to be successful
