Year 1’s Delve into our College History

23.09.20

As part of the Year 1 Religious Education Curriculum, students have been learning about St Mary of the Cross MacKillop, who she is and why she is so special. Students travelled to Penola on Friday 18 September to visit the Mary MacKillop Interpretive Centre, the Mary MacKillop Park, Petticoat Lane and other sites around Penola to learn more about Australia's only canonised Saint and the role she has at the College and in the region. The Year 1’s thoroughly enjoyed the excursion and came back with a bigger appreciation of one of the College founders.
