Here are some steps to setup a device for use at Tenison Woods College.

Please take the time to read through this information, following the links to learn about the responsibility of owning and using a laptop and accessing the online world.
We hope you find these steps (and the many other articles found on the site) helpful and pick up some useful tips along the way!

Starting out

  • When you turn on a brand new laptop for the first time, it will want to connect to the internet and create a free Microsoft or Apple account if you don't already have one.
This is a personal account, separate from your school login and enables extra functionality and services. Your school login is used later for Microsoft Office and OneDrive.
  • Remember your device login password. Write it down in a safe place if needed. Add a hint if prompted.
  • Make sure your device is ready to use and connected to the internet before continuing with the setup steps below.

School account

If you require any assistance with your school user account or logging in to Office 365, please use the 'Contact ICT Support' tab at the top of the page to log a support ticket with the ICT department.

This page contains a comprehensive list, but after running through the intial setup, you really only need to do a few things to be ready for school.

Once you have your school account, these 3 steps will have your laptop ready to go:

  1. Use the Portal@TWC page to access SEQTA Learn
  2. Login in to and activate Microsoft Office
  3. Connect OneDrive to your school account

Once at school and connected to the schools wifi there are some extra's:

  • Install the internet certificate to access the internet using the schools wifi
  • Install Mobility print to use the schools printers
