25.07.19

We are excited to announce our 2019 Shining Light Award Recipients:

  • Tom Kosch – St Paul’s/Tenison Woods College 1994- 2006
  • Pam (dec.) and Brian (dec.) O’Connor – College Community Involvement 1933-1994
  • Hopper and Bob (dec.) Gabriel - College Community Involvement 1942-1984
  • Ken Green – Marist Brother’s College 1964-1968

Each year in October, we celebrate a group of Shining Lights who have been nominated and selected as worthy recipients. This year, six special people will be recognised for their contribution to the greater community.

Tenison Woods College and its predecessors; St Paul’s School, Tenison College, Marist Brothers’ Agricultural College, Mater Christi College, St Mary’s School & St Joseph’s College, value the contributions of all students past and present.

The “Shining Light” Awards recognise significant contributions by former students, staff or Catholic community members to the local and global community. By recognising these outstanding citizens, the College hopes to inspire current and future students, as well as celebrate the rich history of Catholic Education in South East South Australia.

Congratulations to these Old Scholars and College Community Members who will be celebrated on Saturday 26 October at the Shining Light Award Presentation Evening. Tickets to the event will be on sale soon! Details on how to book will be available next week.

Tenison Woods College respectfully acknowledges the Boandik people are the First Nations people of the Mount Gambier South Eastern region of South Australia and pay respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, past, present and emerging.
