Whole School SHINE in Clean Up Event

13.03.19

Last Thursday, students from Tenison Woods College took part in Clean Up Australian Schools Day (CUASD). The school grounds were given the once over, however due to the College's greater focus on waste management, there was much less rubbish around than in previous years.

Areas surrounding the College were given a tidy up. Litter was also collected from Shepherdson Road, Marist Park, the west section of the Railway Lands, Hastings Cunningham Reserve and more.

Over 760kg of waste was collected by the students. That's nearly 1,000kg less than last year's clean up!

Congratulations to Allana Madigan’s Year 7 class who collected a whopping 300+kgs of rubbish; a great expression of our commitment to sustainability!

A great effort by them and all who participated. A good reminder that we all need to do our part each day to keep this country beautiful.

Thank you to all staff for the support with this year’s CUASD.
